Romanian roots, Roman roads, digital rabbit holes.
I moved to Rome over a decade ago with no connections and zero Italian. No safety net, no plan B. I had a single conviction: if I could learn anything fast enough, I could make it anywhere.
My first real break came in hospitality. I ran the entire digital presence for a luxury boutique hotel in the historic center of Rome. From scratch I rebuilt the brand identity, launched an SEO travel blog about Rome, took the Booking.com score from 8.7 to 9.4, grew organic traffic by +180%, and pushed direct bookings up +90%. Every line of code, every ad campaign, every pixel was self-taught and hands-on. That period gave me the playbook I still use today.
That track record caught the attention of the Dylog Buffetti Group, one of the largest tech groups in Italy. Since 2022 I am the Chief Marketing Officer of three independent companies inside the group. Octorate, an all-in-one hospitality SaaS used by hotels and short-term rentals worldwide. Octotable, a restaurant reservation and table-management platform. OK Home, a smart-hospitality platform for self check-in, guest identification, and energy efficiency. Three different products, three different audiences, three different go-to-market strategies, all running in parallel and all in multiple languages.
My day-to-day moves between SEO audits, paid media reviews, content briefs, AI search experiments, conversion analysis, and the actual code that ships marketing tools and landing pages. I do not delegate what I do not understand, which is why I taught myself to program. I am also a long-time obsessive about how generative search is reshaping discovery, and I run dedicated GEO and AIO experiments alongside traditional SEO.
There is no spoon. And there is no shortcut. I do the work myself.
